Ahh just one week! So much is going on right now, with the school year coming to a close (the kids' last day is today), moving out of my house in Saratoga this weekend, and then making final preparations for this trip. While we're leaving it fairly flexible as to what we do when we're there, all the logistical information (accommodations, travel info) is set and I need to compile all that information, print all the tickets, etc. There are a lot of components to this adventure - for me, there are four separate flights, six long-distance train rides, and nine (I think) different places I'll be staying. Sarah and Brad are each going to be with me for 18 days, with one day of overlap in the middle in Florence. I will post our day-by-day itinerary shortly. I was remembering the last time I blogged, with my doubles partner, Kristin (a 2012 Olympian!) for our U23 Worlds adventure. Tomorrow will mark exactly 6 years since we were named to the U23 team. It doesn't seem like that long ago, but at the same time, so much of life has happened since then. Rereading our posts from 2008, I can remember exactly how I felt writing them and I'm hoping writing this blog will do the same. Hopefully you will enjoy following along as well! Sarah and Brad will also be contributing (they might not know this yet, though), so there will be a variety of narrators. More soon!
